MUSIC
....Two environmental Spring Musicals were performed during the last 4 years.
All 2nd grade students participated in the productions of "Goin 'Buggy" and "Everyday is Earth Day". Kindergarten and 1st graders attended afternoon performances and parents and relatives attended evening performances.
....Each year in music classes, students discuss water conservation and learn the Native American rain song and dance "Wichita Do-Ya" with drums. This activity meets part of the requirement for the Parr's Green School Badge "I Conserve Water". This song was also performed for an Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony.

....Bluebird song and game: Students participate in the American folk song & game "Bluebird Through My Window" in which students choose various Maryland bird species during the game and sing about them.. Photos of the Maryland birds are posted with basic bird facts.
....Students see and hear a variety of primitive instruments of indigenous cultures from around the world. Examples: didgeridoo, llama hoof shakers, various native drums, kalimba (thumb piano), pan flute and more.......
